JUBILATION CHOIR SET TO SING FOR SAMOA AT MANGERE HALL
With the recent tragedy that has unfolded in Samoa, Jubilation Choir has decided to donate the proceeds from their upcoming live performance at Mangere Hall to the Samoa Tsunami Relief Fund.
The group, who rose to fame as the backing band for Hollie Smith’s hit “Bathe In The River”, will also be offering tickets for $5, for groups of ten or more wishing to attend the show.
It’s an evening of song featuring some of New Zealand’s top vocalists – Rick Bryant, Jackie Clarke and Amanda Billing (Shortland Street’s Dr Sarah Potts) among them. Tom Waits, Isaac Hayes, and Nina Simone classics mix it with Jubilation originals - what they have in common is soul, and they come alive with the a cappella treatment - no instruments, just the naked human voice.
Recognising the very close ties between New Zealand and Samoa, and knowing that we all want to help with the recovery, Jubilation are happy to send the proceeds of this show to where they’re needed most.
Friday 30th October – Mangere East Hall, 351 Massey Road, Mangere, 8pm
Group bookings (of 10 or over) $5
Tickets: Concession $15, Full Price $25 (a small booking fee will apply)
