Did you know that the scorer of Blues first goal in 1875, David Keys, emigrated to NZ. He married his teammates sister Eleanore Teychenne and for a while they lived in Dunedin. He died on 2nd March 1910 in Dannevirke.
His first goal came on the 30th November 1875 in our first ever game, Small Health FC v Holte Wanderers. The game ended in a 1-1 draw
