Just the intensity and opposition having something to really play for I think. Didn’t play badly really, just need to get used to having less decision making time on the ball plus the more physical tackling game lower league football brings. What is the main difference between now and pre season?
Second half was better.Nearly 79 percent possession. Played quite well to be honest just not a final ball
Great to see the ground full. Echo the comments on Reading doing their homework on us. We lacked the ability to push forward and make the final third count. A bit like England in the Euros.Reflecting on the game. It was tough. They had done their homework on us. It had been spoken about a lot in interviews, so no surprise really they could work out how we were going to play. More to play for than in the friendlies, and maybe a nervousness about the team working together with something to lose.
Blues players looked fit though compared to the reading players who were really struggling towards the end of the game.
