I am extremely proud of our team after the showing against a top six Premier team in Newcastle.
It proves we can foot it with the "Big Boys", we just have to be a little more consistent with our performances.
Perform like we did today and we will be in the Prem very soon.

Can’t agree more with this.Great effort, unlucky not to get something out of the game. Had good spells. I think the performance matched the occasion and opposition though. In the league and other cup we just seem to be doing enough and not much more - probably saving ourselves from fixture overload and fatigue- frustrating but understandable but does lead to some squeaky bum moments at times.

It was such a great game and a fantastic representation of the club. I was so proud to be a Birmingham supporter after that game. It's a shame we couldn't beat them. As my Tottenham supporter mate said, "You lost; you're no better than Spurs."

This has been on my mind. Is this how Shrewsbury felt that day they beat us?
