Ruddy interest grows

Charlton and Blackburn are favourites to secure Ruddys signature since the signing of our new shot stopper. Ruddy has an offer from Blues on reduced terms but has said he’s waiting to speak to the new coach.

I’m led to believe that although he’s out of contract, because he’s been offered new terms it means Blues are entitled to some compensation, whereas without that offer he would be good to walk on a free. Is anyone else’s aware of this practice?

Yeah Leeds did the same thing with Cody drahmeh. All the Leeds fans were confused as to why he got offered a new contract.
